Final Resting
The Funeral Rule
The Funeral Rule was enacted by the Federal Trade Commission and it requires funeral service providers to give consumers accurate, itemized price information and various other disclosures about funeral goods and services. The law requires funeral establishments to quote prices over the phone and to give you a General Price List (GPL) and a Casket Price List (CPL) when you ask in person about arrangements and prices. Learn more by reading our brochure on “Understanding a Funeral Home’s Price List.”
